These coats are made according to reference to original jackets, and made to our usual high standards, we use real metal naval lace, and metal buttons, to give as authentic a look as we can bring to you. The wool used is a very good quality dark blue Melton cloth. Linings can be discussed with us, but usually we use a white linen as standard.. Please feel free to contact me if you would like even better replicas of the Jackets and uniforms from this date, we can produce garments with reproduction buttons, cloth, epaullettes etc, but this is very much dictated by budgets but these things can be done for you. Had a naval captains frock made in August 2015, Chris did an excellent job, very friendly, gets back to emails fast, fair prices. Just know, it's just a few people working in his shop so expect orders to take some time. I live in the United States and I emailed them my measurements and the coat fit wonderfully. Would buy from these people again
